About the Authors

Ron Baecker, PhD

Ron is an Emeritus Professor of Computer Science at the University of Toronto. He is also the founder of the Knowledge Media Design Institute (KMDI) and the Technologies for Aging Gracefully Lab (TAGlab). He is the author of Computers and Society: Modern Perspectives, and also Digital Dreams Have Become Nightmares: What We Must Do.

Gary Feldman, MD, FAAP, FABMG

Gary is a retired physician with board certification in pediatrics and medical genetics. For over 14 years, he was the Public Health Officer of Ventura and Riverside Counties in California – responsible for epidemic and infectious disease control for a population of over 2 million individuals. He also holds degrees in mathematics and computer science.

Judith Langer, PhD

Judith is the Vincent O’Leary Distinguished Professor Emeritus at the University of Albany, State University of New York. From 1987 until 2019, she was the Co-Director of the National Research Center on Literature Teaching & Learning and is the Co-Director of the National Research Center on English Learning & Achievement.

Justin Stein

Justin is a financial advisor focused on helping families and business owners protect and manage risk, and also to diversify their capital in the markets. He specializes in private market and fund investments, and life insurance. He is a Licensed Dealing Representative and Life Insurance Agent, and a graduate of the University of Western Ontario.
